What's Happening Here?

For the next 7 months I will be posting a penetration testing phase complete with an overview of the phase, common tools used, (hopefully) a demo of strategies and tools, and a .pdf covering all the topics of the month for your use.  I will be covering the 7 phases of the penetration testing methodology as outlined by the Penetration Testing Execution Standard (PTES).  These phases include:

1. Pre-engagement interactions
2. Intelligence Gathering
3. Threat Modeling
4. Vulnerability Analysis
5. Exploitation
6. Post-exploitation
7. Reporting

Each blog post will consist of:

1. A blog post that contains a brief overview of the main topics/tools used
2. A white paper containing full details of the topic/tools used
3. A video link to my YouTube Channel with demonstrations of the tools used

This may be a learning experience for you, but guess what, it's also a learning experience for me.  I have been trying to get into the penetration testing realm of cyber security for years now, but I never seemed to have the time or resources to do it.  This has all changed recently mainly due to the support of my employer, McAfee. My manager would like to see me reach my goal of becoming a penetration tester either within McAfee or at another company.  So, here I am with support and dedicated training time for getting into my dream job.  Wish me luck and I hope you find something of value here.
